Artist Statement

"I have a passion for art and I try to project a story or mood with each painting that the viewer can appreciate"

I love painting portraits and figures from different settings and cultures. I try to convey a mystery about the subjects with light and shadow to invoke a response from the viewer. My aim is for the viewer to wonder what the subject is thinking and what mood they are conveying.

I try to capture the spirit and essence of the local people where I'm living. I love to paint the faces of characters and see their eyes come alive on the canvas. Nothing compares to the feeling of creating a painting.
