Member Profile:
Marion is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Arizona in 2005. Her artwork varies from realistic to abstract and her media includes oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and watercolor. Animals are her favorite subject but she also enjoys painting floral, landscapes, abstracts and more. Her current passion is creating batik multimedia designs with water media. She has conducted numerous workshops in the batik process and design with rice paper. She is also a member of the Clay Corner and won a ribbon in 2016 for her freelance clay sculpture. Jewelry design is another of her artistic outlets. Marion is a member of the Sun City Palo Verde Artists, Artists by the Lake, Vanguard Artists, and WHAM Arts. She has won many ribbons in various art shows and has shown her painting in the All Sun City Art Show, Palo Verde Art Show, Peoria Celebration of Arts, Glendale Arts Council Art Show, Birt’s Bistro, West Valley Arts Council, Sun City West Professional Building, Lord of Life Church in Sun City West, Peoria Library and WHAM. In September 2016 she and two other artists had their own private art exhibit at the WHAM Community Arts Center in Surprise. |
