In the solitary act of painting the artist uses pictorial language to create a visual statement.
I am inspired to paint scenes that convey the sense of tranquility I feel when I am surrounded by the natural beauty and sounds of nature. It is the impetus for my creativity and the most important objective for me is to create in my paintings the same sense of enjoyment and peacefulness I felt when painting them.
Painting has been my lifelong passion, as an avid plein air painter I have pursued a more direct approach to painting. I work toward creating paintings that reflect my many years of thoughtful observations and love of nature and I am fortunate to have developed a loyal collector base.
