JASON LEVI, is a Juried Member of the Sonoran Arts League and the Arizona Art Alliance. Born in Italy, he came to the United States at the age of 10. Raised in New York City, he returned to Europe where he owned and operated commercial and portrait photography studios in Barcelona, Spain and Rome, Italy for several years. As a portrait photographer he was the official portrait photographer for the Spanish Royals, the Duke and Duchess of Cadiz, and Salvador Dali, French actor and entertainer, Yves Montand, and recently Georgia Lord, the Mayor of Goodyear, AZ.. Jason's work is influenced by the old masters, Caravaggio and Rembrandt, as well as photographer Ansel Adams. He employs their techniques of light and shadows in my landscapes to achieve a dramatic image. Jason's work has been shown at the Toledo Museum of Art, and at the Louvre Museum as part of the Exposure Awards 2015, and recently won First Place in the Las Vegas 2016 International Juried Art Competition at the Red Room Art Gallery and First Place at WHAM Art Center?s Capture and Create exhibit. Jason has exhibited at El Pedregal Art Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ and at the Anthem Civic Building in Anthem, AZ. His work has been shown at the Museum of the Mountain Man, in Pinedale, Wyoming.
