Living in the Sonoran Desert in the foothills of Pinnacle Peak, I concentrate on acrylic and oil. Returning to painting after a many-year hiatus has enriched my life, much like art enriches a home. I find that a simple cactus bloom is no longer simple: it becomes nature's work of art. When visiting the Arizona mountains, they become a special delight offering a variety from our beautiful Sonoran Desert.
Many of my paintings include God's creatures. A horsewoman most of my life, I love to capture each individual's beauty and personality. Our desert critters, feathered and furry, are favorite subjects and have been since my art teaching years decades ago. Now free from the corporate world, I am free to pursue my colorful passion.
