"Chair-ity" FUNdraiser & Auction


Online Auction: October 9, 2021 - October 23, 2021

Live Auction for Select Items: October 23rd, 7 pm – 7:45 pm

Submission Deadline: October 1, 2021
 

About: The Sonoran Arts League Board of Directors is proud to present the "Chair-ity FUNraiser & Auction". The highly-anticipated inaugural event will be held on Saturday, October 23rd. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Sonoran Arts League in their mission of supporting art, artists, and art education.

Artists from the community were challenged to "Re-Imagine, Re-Purpose, and Re-Create" household furnishings including but not limited to chairs, tables, and dressers, into functional items for the home or garden.Themes will run a range of styles, including country chic, glam, Hollywood noir, Americana, and more.


All submissions are processed online, to submit scroll to the bottom of this page and click 'Register for this Event'. If you need assistance submitting your artwork to be juried, please contact the Sonoran Arts League office at 480-575-6624.     
 

Important Dates:
  • Application Deadline: October 1, 2021
  • Drop Off Date: October 5, 2021
  • Online Auction Run Dates: October 9, 2021 - October 23, 2021
  • Special Event & Live Auction: October 23, 2021
  • Unsold Artwork Pickup: October 26, 2021
 
Accepted Artwork:  Re-purposed household furnishings (indoor or outdoor) including but not limited to chairs, tables, and dressers, into functional items for the home or garden.
 
Call Fees & Revenue Sharing:
  • Donation: No fees on items donated to the Sonoran Arts League "Chair-ity" event. 100% of proceeds go towards the Sonoran Arts League in their mission of supporting art, artists, and art education.
  • Revenue Share: $25 registration fee. Artist will receive 50% commission on auction sales, 50% of proceeds go towards the Sonoran Arts League in their mission of supporting art, artists, and art education.

Sales (when applicable): The Sonoran Arts League will make payment of 50% of the sale price directly to the artist. If work is purchased by credit card, credit card processing fees will be deducted from the payment to the artist. Artist payment checks will be available 10 days following the event.
 
All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to art.
 
Once your artwork is accepted there will be no substitutions and your work must remain in the Center for the Arts through the end of the event or until it sells.
