About: The 2022 Annual New Members' Exhibition recognizes and features the wide range of talented members who joined the Sonoran Arts League during the previous year. This collaborative show brings together a dynamic cross-section of artists, diverse in medium and level of establishment. To be eligible for this exhibition you must be a new member of the Sonoran Arts League with a join date some time during 2021.

Important Dates:
  • Application Deadline: December 19, 2021
  • Jury Date: December 20, 2021
  • Artist Notification Date: December 28, 2021
  • Drop Off Date: January 4, 2022
  • Install Date: January 4, 2022
  • Reception Date: January 7, 2022 from 4pm-7pm
  • Exhibition Run Dates: January 5 - January 31, 2022
  • Artwork Pickup: February 1, 2022 from 10am - 12pm

Accepted Artwork:  This exhibit is open to all genres.

Call Fees:
  • $30 with 2 volunteer hours* for up to 5 pieces of work submitted.
  • $80 with no volunteer hours for up to 5 pieces of work submitted.
 *Volunteer hours must be completed in the 2022 calendar year with the Sonoran Arts League or be bought out at a rate of $25/hour.
Commission: The Sonoran Arts League retains a 25% commission on all exhibition sales.
Sales: The Sonoran Arts League will make payment of the sale price less the commission (25%) of all sold artwork directly to the artist. If work is purchased by credit card, credit card processing fees will be deducted from the payment to the artist. Checks will be available 10 days following the close of the show.
With the sale of work, the artist is encouraged to bring in new artwork as approved by the League office as replacement for the sold piece.

Display Requirements: Art must be in gallery ready condition and each piece must be well labeled.
  • Pieces with saw-tooth hangers will not accepted.
  • No filament fishing line is acceptable, all mounting systems must be strong enough to support the weight of the artwork.
  • For wall-mounted sculpture, if you require a system other than a standard picture hanger, the artist must provide the hanging system and must either mount the piece and/or supervise the hanging process.  
Selected Works: Artists selected for an exhibition will be given sufficient time to prepare their work and make drop off/delivery arrangements prior to the exhibit date. There is no maximum or minimum number of artists.
All work must be original, unsold work, & the artist must own the sole copyright to art.
Once your artwork is accepted there will be no substitutions and your work must remain in the Center for the Arts through the end of the show or until it sells.
